WakeUP is hiring an Executive Director to lead the organization. Nathan Spencer is stepping down on September 1st so the search committee is looking for someone who can help us continue to promote climate adaptation, transportation, and housing in Wake County. Learn more here.

We visited Durham to support the Transportation for the Future Act which will modernize North Carolina transportation spending to provide communities with the tools they need to create safe and sustainable multimodal transportation systems for the future.

We developed a fact sheet on Transit Overlay Districts (TOD) in Wake County and how they impact surrounding communities. Learn about how the City of Raleigh is implementing TODs to prepare communities for Bus Rapid Transit Routes here.
